This album was a side project that was the brain child of myself and JoJo Arcuri back in 1997. Most of our crew had rented storage sheds in A-Able on Craig and Decatur, so I decided to rent one of my own and use it to rehearse and record stuff on 4-track cassette. This project stemmed from those sessions. JoJo and I quickly wrote and recorded these songs in about a week or two and used whatever we saw sitting around as our influences. We wanted our initials to be ASS, so we came up with the name After School Special. The project was tracked on a Tascam and bounced to a Fostex for more channels. I would later transfer the recordings to mini disc around 2000, which was the source for these particular mixes.
