On July 22, 2002, Michael Welsh called me up around 8pm to ask if I was planning on recording some band at the Cooler Lounge that night. I think I was pretty tired from recording the night before, because I didn't want to do it. He said "these guys are going to be huge". And I thought to myself "yeah, ok, sure." But Mike is a pal, and I wanted him to be happy, so I grabbed my shit and did a stereo recording of the band. It turned out to be Against Me!, possibly the most noteworthy band I've ever recorded at the Cooler Lounge. Go figure that I got some half assed lazy bullshit stereo recording of them. Sorry Mike.
