Remember those gap commercials from the mid to late 90s? When I penned this ditty, I was imagining a similar commercial with ACDC singing about the hot summer days in Las Vegas. Why ACDC would be singing about Las Vegas is beyond me, but the point is, soon after I recorded this, another 70s arena rock band did an equally shitty song for an actual Gap commercial. Do you remember what band it was?
recorded on 4-track cassette around 1996.
lyrics
The sun beats down on the summer blacktop
can hardly see through those rays
Little sexy girls in their two-piece suits
boy do I sure miss those days
I wish I had of went to school
my social life wasn't much too cool
the kids around didn't even know my name
The story's real short, so I'll tell it real fast
to tell the truth I didn't go at all to class
playing hooky seemed like a game
Fall Into the Gap
Fall Into the Gap
Fall Into the Gap
Fall Into the Gap
