Yes, we were a surf metal punk band. Our drummer knew how to play every Metallica song, as did I. So, we chose to cover a few from the first album. Whiplash was recorded entirely on 4-track cassette, while this one was a hybrid. The drums were recorded on 4-track, transferred to a Boss BR8 digital piece of shit, then guitars, bass, and vox were layered over it. The problem is, the Boss BR8 used data compression on its tracks, so they all came out sounding like tinfoil scraping against a chalk board. That's what you get when you buy the machine from Musicians Friend with the intent to return it within the 30 day period after recording the album on it. This entire project was karma, and I don't even believe in karma.
